Every Florida Book Project

The Florida Handbook series

The Florida Handbook was a reference book for the state of Florida: its government, history, culture, and geography. Published every two years, it consists of information compiled by Dr. Allen Morris, the Clerk-Emeritus and Historian of the House of Representatives of Florida. Morris created the first handbook in 1947 and revised it every two years.

Sometime in the 1980s Morris was no longer able to continue working on the series. For many years the handbook was not revised and new editions were not published. His daughter, Joanne Morris later took up the project, but current editions of the handbook are hard to find online.

Penninsular Publishing Co, the publisher of the Handbook, does not seem to have a website. If anyone knows how to order editions of the Handbook, please let me know.
